This evening we saw ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, an excellent film that wove the lives of two brothers into an episode of the Indian edition of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’.
The cinematography, mainly based in Mumbai, was excellent with many moody ’snapshots’ of life and scenery. Although many devasting social scenes are shown – pimps, child exploitation, race riots, etc. the overall impression was of an exhilerating modern city.
Great story, well told – a good night out.
